LANSING, Mich. — Good Sunday evening!
Clearing today allowed the sun to actually make an appearance after a damp and gloomy start to the day. This evening you may be able to see “The Christmas Star” which is that conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn. Look low on the horizon towards the southwest and you should notice it. This clearing is short lived as our next system makes its approach and clouds thicken right back up through the overnight hours.
Tomorrow mornings commute looks okay but by around midday the snow spreads in, falling light to moderate through the afternoon. Temps will be just above freezing so it will have a difficult time sticking, but by the evening commute we could see some slick spots as temps fall to around the freezing mark. Accumulations look to be around a trace to 2″ at the very most and that will mainly be on grassy surfaces.
Partly sunny for Tuesday then another system moves in Wednesday starting as rain then turning to snow. Gusty winds, very chilly air and occasional snow showers will take us into Christmas.
