UPDATE at 9:39AM - Both the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-96 at Okemos road is closed until further notice, due to traffic accidents.
In Eaton County, southbound Waverly at Hunters Ridges is closed due to an accident.
The City of Lansing is currently salting bridges, overpasses and major streets.

Local police departments and agencies are warning of slick conditions on local roadways due to snow moving through the area.
Eaton County Central Dispatch sent out a Nixle alert saying "We are getting reports that I96 between the I69 interchanges is starting to get slick. Please exercise caution in that area."
Ingham County 911 also sent out a Nixle alert warning drivers "The roads are starting to get very slippery throughout the county. Please drive carefully and allow extra travel time."
Please allow extra time if you are traveling today, and drive cautiously.
