LANSING, Mich. — Snow has arrived and it will last all day with some heavier bursts of snow possible this afternoon. Steady snow will persists through this evening before we see it become more scattered tonight and eventually winding down early Tuesday morning. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for all of Mid-Michigan until 7 P.M. this evening. Snowfall amounts of 2-4" likely in the Lansing area. Local amounts of 5" are possible. Expect 3-6" of snow in the Jackson area. Temperatures today will hold steady in the upper 20s, lows tonight fall into the mid teens. A mix of sun and clouds Tuesday. Mostly dry, but a few lake effect snow flurries will be possible. Possible record breaking cold tomorrow with highs in the mid 20s and lows overnight in the single digits. Another round of snow late Wednesday into Thursday morning. Cold again Wednesday with highs in the mid 20s. Temperatures moderating back into the mid 30s for the rest of the week and it will be dry.
