LANSING, Mich. — Snow showers have tapered and moved off to the east and our focus has now turned to the below freezing temperatures and icy roadways that are creating problems out there. With temps hovering around in the 30s through the overnight, take it easy on the roadways. Not totally out of the woods as far as precipitation is concerned, as a secondary front will drop through tonight perhaps touching off a few more rain/snow showers. Could still be some slick spots tomorrow morning as you head off to work so allow extra time for travel.
Tomorrow starts off cloudy, but high pressure builds in, causing our skies to clear by the afternoon with plenty of sunshine the result. Clear skies are short lived though as our next weather maker makes a swift approach from the west. Snow moves in Tuesday afternoon and we could see some quick accumulations, especially in our northern counties just prior to the evening commute. The snow then quickly transitions to rain and then it looks like it will stay as rain as we head through the day Wednesday.
The good news is for Thanksgiving it looks like we will dry out and see a good bit of sunshine with temps warming up into the upper 40's. Staying sunny then into the next weekend before we see some additional snow showers for the second half of the weekend.
