LANSING, Mich. — Rain showers and a few rumbles of thunder continue to move in from the west. For the next several hours we will see these showers roll through. Any heavier showers/storms move into the Lansing and Jackson area towards midnight and we will keep spotty showers into the wee hours of Sunday morning. If you find yourself under a storm tonight, expect heavy downpours and gusty winds.

These unsettled conditions are associated with an approaching cold front that will clear Mid-Michigan by tomorrow morning and everyone will trend towards clearing through the day as high pressure builds. By the afternoon, a nice breeze develops and temps climb into the low to mid-70′s under mostly sunny skies. High pressure stays in control through Wednesday keeping beautiful weather in the forecast but by Thursday a week front brings a renewed chance for some showers. Temps in the 70′s through the week and more showers by next weekend.
