LANSING, Mich. — Active weather day ahead. Snow will be heaviest and most widespread this morning making for a slow commute into work. Expect about 1-3" of snowfall through noon today. Snow becomes more light and scattered this afternoon lingering through the evening with an additional 1" of accumulation possible. Temperatures are in the 20s this morning, but are expected to drop through the day with temperatures falling into the teens by this afternoon. Watch for slick roads as any water or snow on the roads may re-freeze this evening. Light flurries may linger tonight, but most folks will be dry overnight. It gets frigid with lows in the single digits. Winds are expected to be light Friday morning, but any sort of breeze may send wind chills below zero. Friday is Valentine's day and it will be cold with highs near 20 degrees. At least there will be some sunshine with partly cloudy skies. Saturday we warm up with highs in the low 30s. Clouds build through the afternoon with light snow moving through Saturday evening. Accumulations will be minor. Sunday is dry with partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid 30s. Monday starts as snow and then transitions over to rain in the afternoon. Tuesday will be all rain with highs up near 40 degrees. Wednesday we cool back down into the upper 20s under partly cloudy skies.
