LANSING, Mich. — It's another mostly clear night around Mid-Michigan, but temperatures will end up a touch warmer than last night for the lows. More heat is on the way tomorrow.

Summer officially begins tomorrow at 5:43PM, by which point the majority of local communities will be feeling the heat. Widespread highs in the lower 90s are expected with heat indices falling just a little shy of 100, at times.

Saturday also now looks like it will stay dry, although a stray shower or storm can't be completely ruled out if Lake Michigan develops a breeze that moves inland. Still, I'm thinking this will be very tough to come by and so I've kept rain out of tomorrow's forecast until late overnight.

Father's Day is on Sunday and the weather looks to be a little more cooperative for dads everywhere. While a few scattered storms are still in the forecast, this is looking less and less like an all-day event.

Temperatures will still scoot into the 80s, but there will be plenty of breaks in the cloud cover and a good deal of dry weather. You don't need to axe any outdoor plans just yet, but be mindful of the forecast as we continue to update it this weekend.

Another hot and sunny day on Monday will give way to showers and storms late, most likely not arriving until Monday night. Tuesday will have some rain as well, but also begins a stretch of slightly cooler high temperatures through the end of next week.
