Rainy Wednesday, Dry For Thanksgiving

LANSING, Mich. — Today starts off cloudy with a few scattered, light rain showers. The precipitation will increase in coverage and intensity during the late afternoon and evening hours, before slowly tapering off overnight. Today’s high temperatures will be mild in the mid 40s, and then we only drop into the lower 40s tonight.

Thanksgiving Day will be overcast, but warm with highs near 50 degrees. We may see a few sprinkles Thursday evening, but most areas will stay dry under mostly cloudy skies. Some sunshine returns as we go into Friday. Plan for partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 40s on Friday afternoon.

The weekend looks pretty nice with mostly sunny skies on Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures will be in the mid 40s this weekend.

A low pressure system will approach the area early next week, so another round of precipitation looks possible as we head into Monday and Tuesday. At this point, it looks like we start with rain and possibly transition to snow Monday into Tuesday. This will be a system to watch as we get closer to next week.
