LANSING, Mich. — We have several chances of rain as we head into the second half of the week. Today will bring mostly cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and high temperatures near 60 degrees. Best time frame for rain will be this evening with a few rumbles of thunder and small hail possible as well. Rain showers will remain possible tonight as low temperatures drop into the mid 40s.

Cooler air will begin to build in on Thursday, along with another round of scattered rain through the day. Tomorrow’s high temperatures will be in the mid to upper 50s, which is roughly ten degrees below average for the first day of October.

We will see a break from the rain on Friday and Saturday. You can plan for partly sunny skies with high temperatures in the low to mid 50s both days. Rain chances will return on Sunday with temperatures in the low 50s.

Warmer air and sunshine is expected on Monday with highs in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees. Our break from the rain is short lived as another chance of rain will build in on Tuesday with highs in the low to mid 60s.
