LANSING, Mich. — Cloudy skies will give way to a steady rain that moves in early on Sunday morning, then spotty showers will continue during the afternoon. Some rumbles of thunder are possible, especially early in the day. Temperatures will rise into the middle 50s and stay well above average through the overnight on Sunday.
More rain will continue early on Monday, but temps are poised to plummet into the low-to-mid 30s by late in the day, prompting a switchover to snow showers Monday evening. Details are murky at the moment, but it's possible a dusting to an inch of snow could be possible.
We appear to start 2020 on the same mild note that 2019 ushered us out with, as temperatures are expected to reach the 40s again for several days heading into next weekend.
