LANSING, Mich. — Unseasonably warm for the first day of October. Highs reach the mid 80s this afternoon under partly cloudy skies. Rain and storms drop south this evening into tonight with heavy rain and strong, gusty winds possible. Lows fall into the mid 60s. Rain and even a few rumbles of thunder will last through the day Wednesday. Rain totals of 1-2" will be possible in some locations. Cooler with highs in the mid 60s. Isolated showers continue Thursday before we dry out that evening with high temperatures in the low 60s. Sunshine returns Friday and Saturday, but it will be even cooler with highs in the mid to upper 50s.
