LANSING, Mich. — Dry to start the day before rain moves in later this afternoon. Mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 40s this afternoon. Rain should hold off until about 3 or 4 P.M. moving in from the southwest. Rain should stay mainly along and south of I-96. Those north of Lansing are unlikely to see rain later today. Showers continue through early tonight before coming to an end before midnight. From there we are dry overnight with lows in the mid 30s. We see a break from the rain tonight through Thursday morning. Mostly cloudy tomorrow with rising temperatures. Highs near 60 degrees but that won't be until Thursday evening, temperatures in the low 50s Thursday afternoon. A warm front lifts into the area tomorrow bringing rain and thunderstorms to the area late in the afternoon. Showers and storms then last overnight and into the morning hours Friday. Temperatures will start in the 50s Friday morning before cooling into the 30s by Friday evening. Rain should end before noon Friday and we will be dry the rest of the day. High pressure rules this weekend so it will look nice. Mostly sunny Saturday and Sunday, but it will be colder with highs in the mid 30s Saturday and low 40s Sunday. Highs recover and return to the low 50s Monday and Tuesday with continued sunny skies.
