LANSING, Mich. — This morning starts off with lingering showers, but we will dry out quickly with clearing skies and warm temperatures, so overall it will be a nice day. Rain wraps up before noon and we will be dry the rest of the day. Skies clear turning partly cloudy with highs in the mid 70s. Winds will come in from the northwest at 5-15 MPH with occasional gusts near 20 MPH.

Mostly cloudy tonight with low temperatures in the mid 50s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms move in late overnight/ early Tuesday morning a few hours before the sun rises. Scattered rain and storms then continue through the day Tuesday with the strongest storms (containing heavy rain) moving through during the morning hours. Storms begin to taper off Tuesday evening before we dry out Tuesday night. Cooler tomorrow due to the clouds and rain with highs only reaching the mid 60s.

Wednesday will be a split day with some folks seeing rain and others staying dry. It will also be a split in temperatures with some folks staying cool while others get warm. Scattered showers are expected through the day for locations along and north of I-96. Folks south of Lansing will likely stay dry all day. Locations that see rain will stay cool with highs in the upper 60s. Those that stay dry all day will be warmer with highs reaching the mid to upper 70s the farther south you go.

Thursday and Friday we will finally catch a break from the rain and it will be cool. Highs reach the upper 60s both days under partly cloudy skies, and thankfully, it stays dry.

Warming slightly over the weekend and it will be a split with rain Saturday and dry conditions Sunday. Scattered rain and a few thunderstorms possible Saturday with highs in the low 70s. Highs in the mid 70s expected Sunday with partly cloudy skies.
