Quiet Weather To End July and Begin August

LANSING, Mich. — Beautiful and quiet weather settles in for the rest of the week. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies expected today with more clouds south of Lansing. High temperatures in the low 80s this afternoon. Humidity stays low so it will be comfortable. Partly cloudy and cool tonight with low temperatures in the upper 50s. Another night of good sleeping weather if you want to open up the windows and give the AC a break.
Mostly sunny Friday with temperatures hovering near normal for the last day of July with highs in the low 80s. We stay cool Friday night with lows in the upper 50s. Saturday looks to start mostly sunny with increasing clouds during the afternoon turning partly cloudy. Highs stick near normal with highs in the low 80s for the first day of August.
Sunday will be a mostly dry and fairly quiet. There is a chance for a few isolated thunderstorms to pop up Sunday evening but any rain that does get started will be widely scattered and most folks stay dry. Any activity would end Sunday night. Highs Sunday afternoon reach the low 80s.
Monday is a better chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly during the afternoon hours. It will be cooler as we start the new work week with highs only reaching the upper 70s. Showers will linger through the day Tuesday and it stays cool with below normal temperatures in the mid 70s. Sunshine returns Wednesday with daytime highs in the upper 70s.
