LANSING, Mich. — Clear skies tonight will allow you to give the air conditioner a break, even if it's just until morning.

With low temperatures set to fall into the middle 50s, a comfortable night is in store before heat returns Wednesday afternoon with upper 80s highs.

Sunshine will come aplenty over the next few days, and it isn't until the coming weekend that we'll start to see a few rain chances. Sunday scattered storms will be the best shot at a watering.

Early next week we may spend a few days with highs only topping out in the 70s as some below-average temperatures move in for a short while. The long range outlook has our rainfall below normal for the next 8-14 days, as well.
