LANSING, Mich. — The unseasonably warm air is here to stay for at least two more days. We’ll remain very warm through Tuesday, and then a strong cold front will bring in much colder air by Wednesday.

Today will be another beautiful day with sunshine and temperatures running around 25 degrees above average. We have a good chance at setting a new record high temperature today with highs expected to reach 75° the current record high temperatures for today is 73° set back in 1999. Increasing clouds expected this evening and overnight with lows only dropping to around 60 degrees.

A mix of clouds and sun expected Tuesday and it stays warm with highs reaching the low 70s. Our next chance of rain will move in Tuesday night and into the early morning hours of Wednesday. These showers will be associated with a strong cold front, which will also usher in much colder air for the rest of the week. High temperatures on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will return to near-normal values for this time of the year. Plan for highs around 50 degrees each day.

We have another chance of rain in the forecast as we head into the weekend. Saturday should be fairly quiet with increasing cloud cover, and then rain is possible Saturday night and into Sunday morning. High temperatures will be near 50 degrees for both Saturday and Sunday.
