LANSING, Mich. — Plenty of sunshine is expected across the area today with high temperatures in the mid to upper 80s. It will be breezy at times this afternoon. Tonight we are mostly clear with lows in the mid to upper 60s. This weekend the heat and humidity rise. We are partly cloudy and humid Saturday with highs near 90. The heat index for several hours Saturday afternoon could be near 100. We have the chance of a few thunderstorms Saturday night. Sunday will be partly cloudy and humid with a few thunderstorms. Highs Sunday in the upper 80s.
