Overcast and Cold to Start the Week

LANSING, Mich. — We’ll have plenty of cloud cover hanging around to start the work week with near-normal temperatures for this time of December. Plan for mostly cloudy skies today with a few scattered snow flurries possible. High temperatures will be in the lower 30s, but wind chills will only be in the teens and 20s thanks to gusty winds out of the west-northwest. The cloud cover will clear out a bit tonight and temperatures will drop into the upper teens by daybreak Tuesday.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be mostly cloudy and Thursday will be partly cloudy with highs in the lower 30s each day. We’ll see a little more in the way of sunshine on Friday with partly sunny skies expected. Temperatures will also be a little warmer late this week. Highs climb into the mid 30s on Friday.

Our next chance of precipitation moves in over the weekend. We have a chance of snow that changes over to rain on Saturday, but at this point, it looks rather scattered in nature. We’ll dry out on Sunday with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 30s.
