National Weather Service confirms EF-0 tornado touched down in Taylor

The National Weather Service is confirming that a tornado touched down in Taylor as part of last night's storms that pounded southeast Michigan.

According to coordinates released by the National Weather Service, the path of the tornado took it right over the Meijer and Southland Mall in Taylor on Eureka Road. 

The tornado touched down at 12:44 a.m. and lasted for two minutes. it was rated as an EF-0, damaging three buildings.

Video posted to social media appears to catch the tornado on the ground.

An EF-0 tornado has week winds, between 65 and 85 miles per hour.

There are no reports of any injuries.
