LANSING, Mich. — Ready for a real summer-like feel? If you haven't felt it yet, you're about to.

Mother Nature will turn the temperature dial up as the week goes on, culminating in highs topping out around 90 degrees for both Friday and Saturday. Not many clouds are in the forecast, let alone any rain until the weekend.

The very hot weather won't feel as rough as it could, luckily. Humidity will run fairly low for the next few days, so finding spots outdoors in the shade might ensure that it won't feel too uncomfortable. Be mindful by Friday that open flames will be able to spread easily with the hot conditions and several previous days of dry weather.

Following the hot weather into Father's Day weekend will be some late-day thunderstorm chances on Saturday, though most of the activity looks to hold off until Sunday. This still won't be a day-long washout, but folks planning any outdoor events for dad may need to keep an eye on the forecast.

Temperatures cool slightly into early next week, but we can still expect highs in the lower 80s with a bit more humidity and a couple chances for showers and thunderstorms.
