LANSING, Mich. — Some heavy rain this morning with a few rumbles of thunder. Showers will slowly begin to taper off through the morning hours with rain coming to an end shortly after noon. From there we will see clearing skies turning partly cloudy later today and it will be warm with highs in the low 70s. Partly to mostly cloudy tonight with some patchy fog, lows falling into the low 50s overnight. Saturday will be the nicest day of the weekend, a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the low 70s. Our next system moves in Sunday with scattered showers and thunderstorms. It will be cooler Sunday due to the rain with highs in the low 60s. Showers linger Monday with highs in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees. Moderating temperatures through mid week next week with highs in the mid 60s Tuesday and partial sunshine. Mostly sunny with highs back up in the low 70s Wednesday, mid 70s Thursday with partly sunny skies.
