LANSING, Mich. — Showers and storms are wrapping up for the evening with mostly cloudy skies holding overnight. More scattered activity is back on Thursday on a more widespread basis with slightly lower temperatures.

Two cold fronts pass through on Friday, the first of which brings some showers. In the afternoon a second cold front passes through, possibly bringing a few hit-or-miss showers with cooler, drier air rushing in from the northwest behind the front.

Once this air is in place, temperatures will be much cooler for the weekend. Low humidity and lots of sunshine will result in pleasant, calm conditions with highs in the middle to upper 60s through Sunday.

A few showers can't be ruled out for the first few days of June, but the long term forecast expects to have us back to the warmth by the middle of next week. We could also be headed towards a drier trend through at least the middle of June!
