LANSING, Mich. — There is finally an end to the hot line of 90s in our 7-day, but we could begin another stretch as soon as early next week.

Temperatures stay in the lower to middle 90s through Thursday, with heat indices near 100 degrees on Thursday as extra moisture and humidity pushes in from the south.

There are a few rain chances for Tuesday and Thursday, but not everyone will see the showers or storms. Those who do should be lucky; storms will not be severe, and we could certainly use the rain.

We finally see a "cooldown" this weekend with highs in the 80s and better chances for rain before drying out Sunday. But as soon as Tuesday of next week, we could see another heat wave with a string of 90s highs.
