LANSING, Mich. — Seasonably cool temperatures are expected again today, and then we have a nice warm-up on the way for tomorrow. The warmer air will build in on Wednesday and stick around through the end of the week.
Plan for a mostly cloudy skies today with highs in the upper 30s. Westerly winds will pick up throughout the day, becoming west-southwesterly this afternoon around 15 mph. Skies will remain mostly cloudy tonight with lows dropping into the low 30s.
Decreasing cloud cover is expected on Wednesday, which will help to push temperatures into the mid 40s during the afternoon. Plenty of sunshine is in the forecast for Thursday with temperatures once again climbing into the mid 40s.
Our next chance of precipitation will move in late Friday. The daytime hours of Friday look dry, and then rain will begin to move into the region Friday evening. Our weekend system will keep rain in the forecast Friday night and through the day Saturday. As colder air moves in Saturday evening and Sunday, any lingering precipitation will change over to snow showers.
