LANSING, Mich. — Another nice weather day expected across the area. Mostly sunny skies today with highs near 80 degrees which is close to average for this time of the year. Humidity stays low for one more day so it will be comfortable if you want to be outside. Mainly clear skies tonight with lows in the upper 50s, it will be calm for one more night before storms arrive late Friday. Most of the daylight hours Friday will be dry under mostly sunny skies. High temperatures Friday reach the mid 80s and humidity will rise rapidly through the day and it will feel very sticky. Showers and thunderstorms arrive Friday evening and will last overnight. Some thunderstorms may be strong to severe with damaging winds and heavy rain being the main threat. A few showers and storms linger through the morning hours Saturday before we dry out later that afternoon. Highs in the low 80s Saturday. Mostly sunny and warm Sunday with highs in the mid 80s and unfortunately, the humidity sticks around. Feeling very much like summer next week with highs reaching the upper 80s to low 90s as we approach the Fourth of July weekend. Highs in the upper 80s under mostly sunny skies Monday through Wednesday.
