LANSING, Mich. — Cloud cover rolls in and will stick around for Sunday, and mild air will drive temperatures into the middle 40s today. Rain showers will arrive very late in the evening and last through the overnight, with light rain continuing into Monday, as well.

Behind the rain, the coldest air of the season (so far) will arrive. Some lake effect snow showers will be driven into the area on Tuesday, but at this time little or no accumulation is expected. Lots of cloud cover stays around for Wednesday, and temperatures may not even break out of the teens on Wednesday along with single digit wind chill values.

Temperatures will start to warm back up past Wednesday with highs running 8-10 degrees warmer each day through Saturday, which is when the next rain and snow-maker will get here. In the meantime, get ready to ride out this roller coaster of a temperature swing!
