Mild Start to March Begins Sunday

LANSING, Mich. — While Sunday morning starts a bit on the chilly side, temperatures quickly warm into the 40s by noon and reach the upper 40s by later in the day.

A chance for rain showers comes past midnight Sunday night and any shower chances end early in the day on Monday. Most of the next seven days appear to stay dry.

If you're anxious for warmer weather, you might enjoy this first week of March very much. Highs will run in the middle to upper 40s through most of the week, with the weekend "cooldown" still featuring highs in the low 40s.

It could be a trend that continues--the current long range outlook for the second week of March (beyond our 7-day) is trending towards keeping temperatures above average as we approach the middle of the month!
