LANSING, Mich. — Light snow showers are falling across the area early this morning, with a dusting possible in most places. The snow will taper off and end by mid-morning for many of us, leaving us with a mostly cloudy afternoon.
Temperatures struggle to rise today with most folks ending up near 30 for the high, but we'll have a bit more sunshine to work with than we saw on Saturday.
Monday's forecast is now looking far less snowy, with the approaching system now expected to pass south of the region. Places close to the state line and well south of I-94 could see minimal impacts (up to an inch of snow) between Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning, but this remains less likely than the snow missing everybody entirely. At this time, the snow is not expected to make it as far north as the greater Lansing area.
A period of dry weather dominates the forecast timeframe from Tuesday on, with high temperatures only in the 20s through Wednesday before a warming trend into next weekend.
