LANSING, Mich. — The forecast: A better chance for rain and snow showers enters the picture Thursday evening. This will not be a major system for us either but some slippery travel has potential to come about by Friday & Saturday with a light accumulation of snow. Colder temperatures are expected to return by the weekend.

TODAY: Mostly cloudy. Some morning flurries or freezing drizzle possible. Highs in the mid 30s. Southwest winds at 10 to 15 mph.
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy. Lows in the low 30s. Southwest winds at 7 to 11 mph.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy and milder with highs in the upper 30s to near 40. Southwest winds near 15 mph.
THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy. Chance for rain showers to transitioning to snow showers through the evening and overnight. Highs near 40.
FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy with on and off again snow showers. Highs in the mid 30s.
