and last updated

LANSING, Mich. — Today will be our last warmer day before we cool down Thursday through the weekend. Mostly sunny with temperatures that reach the upper 70s to near 80 degrees this afternoon. Staying mostly sunny for a good portion on the day then a cold front drops through this evening and we’ll see an increase in cloud cover. Isolated showers will be possible this evening into early tonight as the front passes, but rain will be limited and many folks stay dry. It gets chilly again overnight with lows in the low 50s.

Dry before sunrise Thursday morning with a few clouds around. Full, unfilitered sunshine returns Thursday afternoon and it will be cooler with highs in the mid 60s. The fall-like chill real sets in Friday and Saturday with highs that only reach the low 60s! Mostly sunny Friday, a few more clouds Saturday, but still plenty of sunshine. Staying dry and sunny Sunday with moderating temperatures. Highs reach the mid 60s Sunday afternoon.

Trending a bit warmer for the start of next week, and the sunshine sticks around. Highs in the low 70s expected next Monday under mostly sunny skies. A few more clouds move in for the first official day of fall on Tuesday, but it looks pleasant with highs in the low 70s Tuesday afternoon.
