LANSING, Mich. — Hot and humid today with scattered thunderstorms moving into the area tonight. Mostly sunny for most of the day and temperatures soar into the low 90s this afternoon! It will be humid this afternoon, but it turns muggy overnight as more moisture moves in. We will be dry all day before scattered thunderstorms arrives later this evening. The remnants of tropical depression Cristobal will lift north to south tonight with scattered storms lasting through early Wednesday morning. Some storms may be strong to severe with strong gusty winds, heavy rain, and an isolated tornado threat. A short break from the rain Wednesday afternoon with highs in the mid 80s. A second round of strong to severe thunderstorms move west to east Wednesday evening and night. Gusty winds, heavy rain, and a small tornado are the main threats with any storms tomorrow. Finally dry and clear Thursday, but it will be cooler with highs in the mid 70s. Quiet weather remains Friday through Monday of next week with highs in the low 70s with plenty of sunshine.
