Hot and Sunny, Chance for Storms This Weekend

LANSING, Mich. — One more hot and sunny day before some clouds and a chance for a few thunderstorms arrives this weekend. Mostly sunny today and hot with highs in the upper 80s with a few locations reaching the 90 degree mark. Humidity inches up a little bit, but it won't be oppressive. Mainly clear tonight with low temperatures in the mid 60s, it will be a bit muggy. Partly sunny and mainly dry Saturday. There is a small chance for an isolated shower popping up in the afternoon, but most locations won't see any rain. It will be hot again with highs in the low 90s. Father's Day on Sunday is warm with highs in the mid 80s. Partly cloudy for most of the day, but a few scattered thunderstorms are likely Sunday afternoon and evening. It won't be a washout so there will be plenty of dry hours if you want to be outside. Partly sunny Monday with highs in the mid 80s. Monday nigh we will see another round of showers and storms. A few hours of calm early Tuesday before pop up thunderstorms will again be possible Tuesday afternoon. Tuesday through Thursday of next week will be cooler with highs in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees.
