LANSING, Mich. — More of the same today. Hot and muggy with highs in the upper 80s later this afternoon. A few scattered showers and storms moving southeast through the area this morning. Like the last couple of days any activity will be hit or miss and most folks stay dry. Rain will end by the lunch hour, although a few storms may linger in portions of the Thumb. Partly cloudy the rest of the day.
Mostly clear skies tonight and it will be mild and muggy. Low temperatures tonight only drop into the low 70s, so you’ll want to have the AC on tonight.
Mostly sunny and hot again Thursday with highs in the low 90s. Staying dry through the day before showers and thunderstorms move in late Thursday night into Friday. Scattered thunderstorms then continue through the day Friday before drying out early Saturday morning. Some storms Friday may contain gusty winds and heavy rainfall. It will be cooler Friday afternoon as the front moves through with highs reaching the mid 80s.
Cooler and less humid for this weekend. It will feel refreshing with temperatures in the mid 70s Saturday and Sunday, and will be closer to seasonal averages for late August. Thankfully, it will also be far less humid and will feel comfortable outside. It stays dry through the weekend with mostly sunny skies. Sunny again Monday with highs in the mid 70s. Partly cloudy with a chance for storms Tuesday and highs in the upper 70s.
