Another hot and humid day in Mid-Michigan with afternoon high temperatures in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. With the high humidity levels the Heat Index this afternoon will be in the mid to upper 90s.
Today will be a partly sunny day. During the afternoon hours a few thunderstorms may pass through the area. The chance of thunderstorms increases tonight as a cold front inches closer to Mid-Michigan. Heavy rainfall is possible with any thunderstorms today and tonight. The Storm Prediction Center says any severe weather today and tonight will more than likely remain west of Mid-Michigan.
The front moves through the area Thursday and will touch off a few more thunderstorms, otherwise Thursday will be a partly sunny day. High temperatures Thursday will be in the mid 80s. Lows drop back to the mid 60s Thursday night.
Friday should have some sunshine with highs near 80 degrees. Showers and thunderstorms are expected Friday night into Saturday. Some storms could be severe Friday night.
