LANSING, Mich. — Hot and sunny again today with increasing humidity and a chance for pop up storms this evening. It will be hot again today with highs in the mid to upper 80s this afternoon. We will also notice an increase in humidity. It won't feel oppressive, but it will be noticeable. Mostly sunny for most of the day, there is a chance for isolated thunderstorms to pop up late this afternoon/ early this evening. Most folks stay dry and any activity will be very hit or miss. Dry and partly cloudy tonight with lows in the mid 60s, it will feel a bit more muggy overnight.
Saturday starts off dry and will stay partly cloudy for most of the day. Warm again tomorrow with highs in the mid 80s and it will be humid. A cold front drops south Saturday evening and scattered showers and thunderstorms move through the state. Some storms may be strong with gusty winds and heavy rain. Storms last overnight and linger into the morning hours Sunday before we dry out Sunday afternoon. Sunday will be cooler behind the front with temperatures near 80 degrees and we will turn partly cloudy in the afternoon.
Cooler for next week. Temperatures will fall below normal Monday through Friday with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Mostly to partly sunny Monday with highs in the upper 70s, there is a chance for a few spotty showers during the day, but most folks stay dry. Feeling fall-like Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the mid 70s under mostly sunny skies. A chance for scattered rain Thursday with highs in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees.
