LANSING, Mich. — Sunshine today and it will be getting hot as temperatures climb into the mid and upper 80s across the area. While it will be hot today ,thankfully, humidity stays low so it won't feel sticky outside. Mainly clear skies tonight with lows in the low 60s, it will be a bit muggy as dew points rise slightly overnight. More sunshine and hot temperatures Friday with highs around 90 degrees. A small chance for an isolated shower popping up, but most stay dry. Saturday will be hot as well and a little more humid with high temperatures in the low 90s. It should be partly sunny through the day with another small chance for an isolated shower in the afternoon, but most won't see any rain. Sunday a weak cold front moves through the state, and scattered thunderstorms are likely Sunday afternoon, but thankfully it won't be a washout, so you will still have a chance to be outside for Father's Day. Temperatures cool slightly into the mid 80s Sunday. Warm again Monday with highs in the mid 80s along with a chance for evening thunderstorms. Drying out Tuesday with partly cloudy skies and highs in the low 80s. Another chance for a few scattered showers or storms Wednesday with highs near 80 degrees.
