LANSING, Mich. — The heat continues through the week and the humidity will be creeping up everyday becoming sticky and oppressive by the middle of the week. Highs in the low to mid 90s this afternoon under mostly sunny skies, there is a very small chance for an isolated storm to pop up late this afternoon/ early this evening, but it will be extremely hit or miss and most won't see any rain at all today. Mostly clear tonight and it will feel muggy with lows in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees. Mostly sunny again Tuesday and hot with highs in the low 90s, humidity will become more prevalent it will start to feel sticky outside. There is a better chance for scattered showers and storms Tuesday evening but the rain won't last long and we should dry out around the time the sun sets. Wednesday will be dry and mostly sunny with highs in the mid 90s and heat indices in the mid to upper 90s, it will be important to practice heat safety Wednesday and Thursday. Hot and humid Thursday with highs in the mid 90s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will move in Thursday evening and continue overnight and into the day on Friday. Scattered thunderstorms will last off and on through the day Friday, and it stays hot with highs around 90 degrees. We cool down slightly this weekend with highs in the mid 80s Saturday and Sunday under mostly sunny skies.
