LANSING, Mich. — Heavy rain will continue to fall through the overnight hours and into tomorrow keeping the threat for flooding alive for all counties. Thunderstorms could become embedded in some of the heavier bands, especially in southern counties. Patchy fog will develop through the overnight hours as well with northern counties experiencing gusty winds. Tomorrow, periods of heavy rain continue to surge through the region, with another chance for storms as well. Drier air begins to usher into our area on Tuesday, slowly cutting off the supply of moisture and causing the rain to taper to spotty showers. Late in the day Tuesday, northern counties will begin to see breaks in the clouds. Everyone gets in on the clearing Wednesday, and then nice weather featuring plentiful sunshine and a warming trend carries us into the next weekend.
