LANSING, Mich. — After a nice day to start off the weekend, Sunday is going to feature heavy rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds. This potent system will move very slowly and bring periods of unsettled weather through the beginning of the next workweek. With the surplus of rain expected to fall tomorrow, adding to the rain that already fell at the end of last week we are expecting some flooding through Monday. The National Weather Service has issued flood watches for all counties beginning tomorrow morning at 8 am and expiring Monday morning at 11 am.

The system then meanders slowly south and east of our region Monday and Tuesday sending showers our way, and it is not until Wednesday that we put the storm behind us altogether. The remainder of the week looks great, with a warming trend sending highs towards 80 degrees by next weekend!
