LANSING, Mich. — Hot temperatures stick around for a few more days and the humidity continues to creep up making it feel very muggy outside. Highs in the low 90s today with heat indices reaching the mid 90s for most locations this afternoon. Mostly sunny for a good chunk of the day, a few isolated showers or small thunderstorms likely this afternoon as a cold front crosses through. Storms will be very hit or miss so not everyone will see the rain and we should be dry by the time the sun sets tonight. Mild and muggy overnight with mostly clear skies and low temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s. Mostly sunny and dry for a short time Wednesday. Hot and humid tomorrow with highs in the mid 90s and heat indices possibly reaching the upper 90s for some locations. Hot and humid again Thursday with highs in the mid 90s under partly cloudy skies. Showers and thunderstorms move in Thursday evening and they will continue overnight and into the day Friday. Scattered storms will last through Friday afternoon before we dry out that evening. Temperatures will be slightly cooler Friday with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. Cooler this weekend with lower humidity. Highs in the mid 80s Saturday and Sunday with partly cloudy skies. Monday will be near normal with daytime highs in the mid 80s and plenty of sunshine. Beyond that there does look to be another heat wave on the way for the middle half of the month.
