LANSING, Mich. — With Sunday's rain chance fading out of the forecast, we've got a hot and dry stretch that continues for the next several days into late next week.
While long range models support better chances for rain by the end of the month, the next week will truly showcase the "dog days" of summer with highs close to 90 and loads of sunshine.
Humidity will still be fairly low for the period, which is good. Typically a string of days like this would have heat indices approaching the upper 90s or low 100s, but not much of a heat index will be expected with the dry air in place.
Keep watering those lawns and gardens for the next week or so... Eventually Mother Nature will decide to lend a helping hand!
