LANSING, Mich. — Spectacular weather on tap for our Friday. Sunny today with low humidity, and near normal temperatures with highs in the low 80s this afternoon. It should be beautiful for any outdoor activities. Tonight will be quiet and calm with lows in the upper 50s. With clear skies and light winds overnight a few spots of fog will be possible, but should dissipate fairly quickly once the sun rises Saturday morning.
Heat and, unfortunately, the humidity will be on the rise this weekend. Highs reach the mid 80s Saturday under mostly sunny skies. Dew points will reach into the low to mid 60s Saturday which will be noticeable but not terribly uncomfortable. Sunday will be hot and muggy. Highs reach the mid to upper 80s with dew points reaching near 70 degrees so it will feel soupy outside. Mainly dry Sunday with partly cloudy skies, there is a chance for a few isolated showers or storms Sunday, but it will not be a washout.
Next week will be a bit more active. Scattered showers and thunderstorms likely Monday afternoon and evening. It stays hot and humid with highs in the upper 80s. A few showers may linger very early Tuesday morning, but we should dry out by the time the sun rises. Partly cloudy Tuesday with temperatures in the mid 80.
Staying dry Wednesday with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 80s, the humidity sticks around through the week. Another chance for scattered thunderstorms Thursday with highs staying slightly above seasonable norms with highs in the mid 80s.
