LANSING, Mich. — It was another nice day across Mid-Michigan, and a touch warmer with highs climbing into the upper 60's under mostly sunny skies.
We have seen unfiltered sunshine this weekend, but unfortunately it looks like the smoke aloft, associated with the wildfires out west will return to overhead skies tonight and then stick with us next week providing a milky hue to the sky. Despite that however, the forecast looks rather exceptional next week with dry conditions through at least Wednesday, and only a slight chance for a shower late Thursday.
Monday through Wednesday will feature a good deal of that hazy sunshine with temperatures climbing a few degrees warmer each day, eventually reaching the upper 70's by Wednesday. A system skirts by to the north on Thursday and we could see a shower, but it looks like only a small chance for us at this point.
Temperatures will be in the low to mid 70's Thursday and Friday then we warm back up next weekend with rain and thunderstorms likely on Sunday.
