Foggy Start on Thursday

LANSING, Mich. — Fog is already starting to roll into the area as temperatures have fallen to the dew point. Temperatures will end up rising slightly overnight and we'll begin Thursday with fog and temps in the low 40s.

Once the fog burns off by late morning, skies will stay cloudy for much of Thursday. It will be another mild day in the lower to middle 50s, and temperatures will stay in the 40s and 50s for highs through the upcoming weekend.

Late Saturday it appears some showers may arrive, with a better chance for rain overnight and into much of Sunday as a cold front passes. We could see some snowflakes late Sunday evening as temps cool off, but I think the warmer ground temperatures will keep any snow that falls from sticking.

While highs will be cooler in the 30s next week, they'll still run near or a couple degrees above average as we wrap up the month, year and decade.
