Dry Start Tomorrow then Rain & Snow Arrive Late

LANSING, Mich. — Good Saturday evening! Clouds stuck with us today and it was a chilly/breezy one with temps in the 20s and wind chills staying put in the mid to upper teens. Winds slacken overnight and turn to the south/southeast direction, which will put an end to the Lake Michigan influence and clouds should finally break up as temps fall into the upper teens/low 20′s. Tomorrow begins with filtered sunshine as mid and high clouds pour in ahead of our next system. This system moves in late tomorrow with temps in the mid to upper 30′s. The result will be rainfall as the dominant form of precipitation initially, but temps will fall turning the rain to snow fairly quick. Some snow showers stick around for the Monday morning commute so there could be a few slick spots out there.

Monday will feature a few isolated lake effect snow showers but otherwise mostly cloudy skies. Tuesday starts with some sun but clouds fill back in ahead of the next system that will bring rain Wednesday and eventually some more snow showers in time for New Years.
