LANSING, Mich. — Falling temperatures and gusty winds the big weather story today. A few isolated showers moving east this morning, we will be dry by noon and stay that way the rest of the day. A cold front moving through bringing colder air in. Temperatures in the 50s this morning will tumble into the upper 30s by 4 P.M. and we eventually fall below freezing by 8 P.M.. It will also be windy today, a northwest wind at 15-25 MPH sustained winds and occasional wind gust over 35 MPH possible through the afternoon hours. We see clearing skies tonight going from partly cloudy to mostly clear and it gets cold with lows in the upper teens to low 20s. Saturday will be chilly with highs in the mid 30s under mostly sunny skies. Thankfully, winds will diminish so there won't be much of a wind chill Saturday afternoon. Sunday is partly cloudy with highs in the low 40s. There is a chance for a quick shot of snow to move through Sunday night into early Monday morning with a possible 1-2" of slushy accumulation. Any snow will melt by Monday afternoon with highs up near 50 degrees and partly sunny skies. Tuesday and Wednesday are dry with highs in the low to mid 50s. Next chance for rain rolls in Thursday with highs in the mid 50s.
