Cooler with Scattered Storms

LANSING, Mich. — Cooler today through the weekend with temperatures in the 80s. A cold front crossing through the state today will bring off and on scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some heavy rain is possible with slow moving thunderstorms as they travel west to east through the area and occasional gusty winds will be possible as well. Temperatures will be cooler today with highs in the mid 80s and it stays humid. Showers and storms taper off late tonight and it stays muggy for one more night with lows in the mid to upper 60s. Saturday will be dry and comfortable. Highs in the mid 80s with a mix of clouds and sun and it will be far less humid, so a nice day. Sunday will be dry for most of the day, but there is a chance for a few pop up thunderstorms Sunday afternoon mainly south of I-96. Dry with partly cloudy skies Monday and that will be the coolest day of the upcoming week with a high temperature around 80 degrees. Mostly sunny and warming up Tuesday with highs in the mid 80s. Temperatures rise into the upper 80s Wednesday with sunshine during the day. Storms return Wednesday night but will move quickly and we should be dry again by Thursday afternoon. Highs reach into the 90s by late next week.
