Cooler With Spotty Showers

LANSING, Mich. — Feeling almost fall-like today with spotty showers and cooler temperatures. Drizzle or light rain will linger off and on through the afternoon before we dry out this evening. It won't be a washout, and if you're not seeing rain expect a mix of clouds and sun. Cool today with highs only reaching the low 70s, well below average for early August. Dry tonight with some clearing. Turning partly cloudy and chilly with lows in the low 50s.
Sunshine returns Wednesday and it will stick around at least through Saturday with moderating temperatures. Daytime highs reach the mid 70s tomorrow under mostly sunny skies it should be nice. Thursday we warm up a few more degrees with highs in the upper 70s with plenty of sunshine.
Temperatures return to near normal for this time of the year by Friday. Mostly sunny with highs reaching the low 80s. Saturday will start to feel more like summer with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 80s.
Sunday into Monday it will be warm, but it comes at the cost of a few scattered showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures warm into the mid 80s Sunday then the upper 80s Monday. Best time frame for storms will likely be in the afternoon and neither day will be a washout.
