LANSING, Mich. — Cooler and windy today with mostly sunny skies. Decreasing clouds this morning will lead to mostly sunny skies by this afternoon. It will be cooler today compared to earlier this week, but highs this afternoon will be close to average for this time of the year with temperatures in the low 40s. It will be windy today with a west wind at 15-25 MPH and gusts over 30 MPH possible. The gusty winds will make it feel more like the 30s this afternoon. Winds gradually die down tonight after the sun sets. Lows in the upper 20s tonight under partly cloudy skies. More clouds Saturday as a system passes by to our south. We will be dry with highs near 40 degrees. Sunshine returns Sunday with highs in the low 40s. We begin to warm up early next week. Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 40s Monday. Near 50 degrees for daytime highs Saint Patrick's Day Tuesday and again Wednesday. First day of Spring is Thursday with highs in the mid 50s and a chance for some spring rain showers.
