LANSING, Mich. — Grab the umbrella before heading out the door today. Scattered showers and even a few thunderstorms expected to last through the day. It won’t be a washout, but rain and even a few weak thunderstorms will last off and on through tonight. Best time frame for showers and storms will be this afternoon through this evening. Mostly cloudy and cooler if you're not seeing rain with highs in the mid 70s.
Rain will taper off overnight and it will be cool with lows in the upper 50s. A few spotty showers linger Tuesday morning before we dry out in the afternoon. A mix of clouds and sun tomorrow with highs only reach the low 70s.
Sunshine returns Wednesday and Thursday with moderating temperatures as highs reach the mid then upper 70s. Near normal early August conditions by Friday with highs in the low 80s with some sunshine.
Warming up this weekend with highs in the mid 80s Saturday and Sunday. Partly cloudy Saturday and we'll notice an increase in humidity, but it should stay dry. Sunday will be partly cloudy with a chance for pop up showers and thunderstorms late in the afternoon.
